Two items in this news item of interest to children with pets and gardeners:

Elston Vets have been running a Children’s Writing Competition during the summer – still time to get entries in for this.

Calling all budding writers……  with pets…….

Please get your pens, pencils, computers, tablets (whatever!) out, and start writing;

we need you to submit your short story or poem about your pet by 31 August 2015.

Short stories should be no more than 500 words, but your poems can be as short or long as you like. The topic is anything to do with any of your pets.

The categories are: 9 and under; 10-13; and 14-15 years old.

Please send them to ask@elstonvets.co.uk or deliver them to Elston Veterinary Clinic, Elston, Shrewton SP3 4HL.
