“All Things Bees”
Is the title of a talk being given by Chris Sheridan at the Shrewton W.I. meeting on Wednesday, 10th August in the Methodist Church starting at 7:30 pm. Non-members welcome. Find out about other WI meetings and talks on the Shrewton Diary.
“The Great War as seen by the Poets”
Friday 2nd September 2016 at 7.30 pm.
Appleford School, Shrewton, Salisbury, Wiltshire, SP3 4HL
Col Christopher Newbould will be speaking on the Poets of World War 1. Their poems are memorable for their content on the conditions of the war and the longing for peace. How different poets saw the war in which they were involved.
Tickets £8.00 to include refreshments and a glass of wine.

News From the Plume
On Saturday 6th, Sunday 7th, Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th August The Plume will open at the later time of 6 pm whilst the lounge bar is redecorated.
There will be no Frying Tuck fish and chip van in The Plume car park on Tuesday 9th August while the van has it’s fryers upgraded.
Look out for the shiny new pub sign!
