As many people will know, due to the recent bad weather the closing date for the A303 public consultation has been extended to Monday 23 April.
A representative from Highways England attended the April Parish Council meeting to give a brief update on the scheme. It was mentioned that Highways England were expecting around 10,000 responses to the public consultation but thus far less than 1,000 have been received.
This scheme will have a major impact on the area so don’t be shy in putting your thoughts forward! This is our only chance for our voice to be heard; every response will be considered, in fact one part of the scheme is already under revision following feedback.
The scheme website, which has all the documentation including the February 2018 public consultation booklet and the online response form, is at www.highways.gov.uk/A303Stonehenge/consultation
If you know somebody without Internet access paper copies of the booklet and a paper response form are available from your Parish Councillors or the Doctors’ Surgeries. The response form can be returned using a FREEPOST address or handed in at several deposit points – a list is on the scheme website or contact the Parish Council on 07798 764436 if you require assistance.
