Be part of The
GRAND EXHIBITION AND SALE
All proceeds will go to:
“NHS Charities Together”
The Grand Exhibition and Sale will happen whenever it can but in the meantime there is plenty of time for planning and creating making an item or items which can be sold.
This means that all the things must be of a ‘saleable’ quality.
We do hope that families, individuals and groups (if they can) will get together and have fun making things for this heartfelt cause.
The type of produce has no limit except that it can’t be something that will degrade between the making and the sale. An Example of items
- Pillow & cushion covers
- Paintings & Drawings
- Prints & Photographs
- Pin cushions & Quilts
- Pretty boxes & bird nesting boxes
- Insect hotels & bat boxes
- Lavender bags & shoe bags
- Peg bags & Pretty bags to put Christmas presents in instead of using paper
- Jigsaws & wooden toys
- Repurposed items such as painted flower pots
- Pottery & porcelain
- Carvings & sculptures
- Cards, coasters & calendars
- Painted and varnished large pebbles as paperweights
- Jams & Chutneys
- Frames & Knitted items
and now I have run out of ideas! YouTube has so many ideas and instructions in case you get stuck.
We have had several offers of raw materials – all sorts of sewing materials in different weights; pieces of wood; trimmings and tapes; tapestry wools, embroidery silks, – more of all sorts of useful things would be lovely.
If you would like to donate your item completely that is great but some raw materials will cost so a percentage of the selling price will be asked – probably 25 – 50%, the decision is yours.
There will also be a Raffle and refreshments will be available so volunteers will be needed to man the Village Hall on the day.
This will be from the whole of Shrewton village to the NHS so let’s make it Great!
