Wiltshire Police and Crime Commissioner Philip Wilkinson and his PCC counterparts in Dorset, Devon and Cornwall, Avon and Somerset and Gloucestershire have come together to launch a survey to explore how crime is affecting rural communities.
They are hoping the survey will help them to understand how their county’s rural communities are affected by crime in the South West.

Rural Crime Survey

Illegal hunting with hounds continues unabated across the rural countryside. Foxes are regularly hunted by the Royal Artillery Hunt on Salisbury Plain. My neighbours are members of the RAH and they told me they trap foxes which they hand over to the terriermen to be thrown live to the young hounds in order to teach the hounds to kill. The police are well aware of their activities but do nothing.
