Grants

Shrewton Parish Council provides grants to support initiatives of the community and to create opportunities for residents of the Parish of Shrewton.
To apply, print and complete the application form. This asks for information about the organisation, what the grant is for and how the whole project will be funded.
Once complete, send or email the form and supporting documentation to the clerk at the address given on the form. Applications are reviewed by the Parish Council at the next appropriate meeting and applicants are encouraged to attend to give an overview of their application.
Examples of grants from the 2017 financial year are:-

  • Arrowhead
  • Shrewton Youth Club
  • Children’s Playground at the rec.
  • St Mary’s and Maddington Church
  • Shrewton & District WI

More information is available in the letter that also explains that the money comes mostly from the “precept”, a small portion of your Council Tax, and some Link to Wiltshire Council’s page for Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) money, paid in some cases from developments within the parish boundary.
The Policy document, spells out the rules governing these grants and you should read them through before applying.
If you have questions about applying for a grant please email shrewtonparishcouncil@gmail.com.
Good luck!
