Welcome to the Village Friends Finder Page.
We are helping people connect with friends they used to know who lived in Shrewton. Whether you’ve moved away and lost touch, or are just curious to see what your old friends are up to, we are aiming to help you find them.
So what are you waiting for? Start searching for your old friends today!
How does it work? Well as this is new to this site we are keeping it simple.
Just follow these steps:
- email us here and let us know a short bio of yourself.
- We will then add you to the list below.
What Happens next?
Click on contact a friend next to their name and you will have an email link to us pop up.
- Let us know your contact details, and we will pass this on to the person.
- The rest is up to you both!
This is a new idea for our site and if people use the service and are finding it useful then we will look to make the process more automated….but lets see what happens.
People Looking To Find Old Friends
Michael Mundy –
My name is Michael Mundy and I moved to Shrewton in 1956 aged nine. I lived at number 9 London Road with my parents Reg and Dorothy (Dot) Mundy. Our neighbours whilst we were there were the Wrights (later the Actons), the Milsom family and the Bolter’s. I attended Shrewton C of E school in the High Street where the headmaster was George Elderkin and his deputy was Mr Penny. At age eleven I went to Amesbury Secondary Modern School and remained there until I left aged fifteen. I played in the school football team for four years along with other boys from the village including Mike Channon. The main pastime for us boys was playing football at the recreation ground until it was too dark to see the ball
I was a paperboy for Moulds the newsagent and the local doctor was Dr Gibson. The garages were owned by, the Druce family and the Weavers were at the Bridge garage. As a teenager I used to go to the village youth club which was originally in a wooden hut opposite the school until it moved to the recreation ground. I owned a Vespa scooter and later a Lambretta which I used around the village and to meet up with friends. I moved to Amesbury in 1965 aged eighteen…….CONTACT MIKE VIA US
